Are you tired of living every day with your kitchen that’s falling apart? Have you grown accustomed to changing your way of life just to accommodate your failing kitchen? Is your life being made more difficult because your kitchen is too old? If you can relate to any of these aspect, then a kitchen remodel may be in your future. That’s where a local family found themselves, and they knew that something had to be done.
“Our kitchen was in desperate need of repair!!! We had holes in our laminate flooring. We had generic colored, MDF cabinets. One door had been repaired 3 or 4 times to the point that it was taken off altogether. Another cabinet door was replaced with a generic wood door that didn’t match the cabinets but at least it hid the stuff in the cabinet. After the COVID pandemic subsided, I knew people might be coming over and we wouldn’t be able to have people see how bad the kitchen looked!”
The family had searched around at three different places for their kitchen remodel, but in the end they chose Cabinet Discounters because they like what we had to offer.
“After getting estimates from three different cabinet companies, we chose Cabinet Discounters. We liked the design and suggestions they provided.”
Once inside our Mt. Airy showroom, the family met with designer Brian Dailey. They sat down with Brian, and truly loved the patience he exhibited and knowledge he possessed when coming to their kitchen remodel.
“Working with Brian our Sales consultant was great! He couldn’t have been nicer or more patient when it came to us changing our minds about styles, colors or patterns. I felt comfortable that Cabinet Discounters, being a company that does kitchen cabinet replacements all the time, would have a crew in there we could trust to know that they knew what they were doing. Other companies we looked at didn’t give us that same sense of security.”
In addition to their experience with Brian, the family was also very pleased with everyone else involved with their project.
“The Cabinet Discounters team, from the coordinators, to our carpenter John, the tile installer Mauricio and the nice electrician whom I can’t recall his name, worked so efficiently and exceeded my expectations. If it weren’t for one cabinet not being done correctly, which John caught before installing it, the job probably would’ve been completed in two weeks time. It took about six weeks from start to finish because of the wait on the cabinet and then rescheduling the carpenter and electrician to finish up the last of the work.”
Working along with Brian, the family selected Homecrest Cabinetry with Piper Painted Hardwood door style and Alpine Opaque color. The countertops are Viatera Rococo quartz. The backsplash is Blue Steel Crackled ceramic tile.
The new kitchen now provides so many new features that the family has found to be quite helpful. From more storage space, to improved lighting, everything has turned out great.
“I love, love, love my kitchen!!!!! I have a beautiful blue backsplash and under cabinet lighting that I love and never had before! I use the under cabinet lighting every night. I love how it lights up the kitchen at night enough without making it really bright in the family room. I have so much space in some of these cabinets and have reorganized stuff in other cabinets so that everything is in a better place for when we cook or work in this space.”
In the end, the family is very pleased with the final result.
“I’m so thankful for the work that Cabinet Discounters did! Out of 3 or 4 home improvement projects my husband and I have done, this was by far the easiest and most efficient one we’ve done! And we’re so glad we went with Cabinet Discounters. They might have been higher than the other estimates. But it was worth it in the long run because we got more that what we paid for! So thank you to everyone at Cabinet Discounters who made this kitchen our dream kitchen!”‘
