Along with some spatial issues in their bathroom, a local family also wanted to bring the style of their bathroom into the current century, and they were ready to make a change.
“We have wanted a new bathroom for a very long time but decided to remodel the kitchen and add an addition to the house first. Ten years later (and being very tired of a dark and mauve pink bathroom!), we finally decided to remodel the bathroom.”
On a previous project, the family’s contractor, Talon Construction, advised them to work with Cabinet Discounters on a kitchen remodel project. So when it came time to remodel their master bathroom, they knew exactly where to turn again. So once more, the family visited our Mt. Airy showroom to set their project in motion.
“We used Cabinet Discounters (through our general contractor) when we remodeled our kitchen. We were using the same general contractor for the bathroom remodel and were very pleased to hear that they still used Cabinet Discounters (probably our favorite of all the subcontractors!).”
Just like the last time, the family again met with designer Bill Putiri to get working on their project. They were extremely happy with all of the advice, suggestions, and expertise provided by Bill on all aspects of their design.
“Working with Bill P. was great again! He listened, gave good suggestions and was very patient and understanding with various designs. All of Cabinet Discounters employees, from the delivery and cabinet guys were nice and professional. The countertops look great and are easy to care for.”
Working along with Bill, the family selected Brighton Cabinetry with Bryant door style and Maple Coal color. The countertops are Calacatta Bello quartz.
“We are very happy with our entire brand new bathroom. The vanity is the first thing you see as you enter the bathroom. So as the focal point, we wanted it to be dramatic and really stand out. It turned out better than we imagined!”
Bill was able to also come up with an idea for a clothes hamper to be included within the vanity, which the family had specifically asked for. With the use of some custom cabinetry from Brighton, Bill was able to make it work.
“We wanted a full height drawer that we could use as a clothes hamper. We were not exactly sure how we wanted the inside to be designed so Bill P. custom ordered a very large drawer for us. Once the hamper drawer was installed, we were able to figure out the interior design that best fitted our needs.”
With their new master bathroom, the family has found that life has become significantly easier due to their expanded space. They are now able to comfortably move around the room without getting in each others’ way.
“Our new bathroom has made life so much easier. No more bumping into each other as we brush our teeth! The two of us can actually use the room without getting in each others way. The curbless shower makes it so much easier to get in and out.”
