If you’re dealing every day with an old kitchen, common tasks can become mundane. If you’re frustrated by the way your kitchen looks or functions, then everyday items become more difficult and less pleasurable to undertake. If you can relate to anything like this with your current kitchen, a new kitchen may be in your future. A local family was ready to move on from their old kitchen, and make a change for the better.
“The kitchen was the original 32 year old one that the previous owners selected. It was time!!”
Using the advice of a friend, the family decided to visit the Cabinet Discounters showroom in Annapolis. Once inside, they met with designer Mary Carrette. Mary showed them our line of Brighton Cabinetry, and they were immediately sold on the quality of materials that we offered.
“We looked at one other cabinet company but friends had used Cabinet Discounters and once we met Mary and saw the quality of the Brighton cabinets, that was it. My husband is an accomplished woodworker and he made the cabinets when we redid the kitchen in our former house. It was a smaller kitchen and a lot of work and this kitchen was much bigger so we decided to buy cabinets. He had to be satisfied with the construction and he was with the Brighton line. There are pictures of our former homes kitchen on Zillow if you are interested in seeing them.”
The family had a great experience working with Mary. She was able to offer suggestions based on the wants and needs of the customers, and was also able to remedy any issues that arose throughout the project.
“Mary was great to work with. Patient and helpful in our selection process. We are very happy. There is an issue with the corner pullout but Mary has scheduled someone to come out this week to address that. She came right out on the day the cabinets were being installed, saw the issue and we are confident it will be resolved.”
Working along with Mary, the family selected Brighton Cabinetry with Custom Level doors for their kitchen. The perimeter cabinets are Maple Cashmere, and the island cabinets are Cherry Russett. The countertops are Cambria Trafalgar quartz.
With their kitchen remodel now complete, the family has been learning how to best utilize their space for cooking and storage.
“We have been cooking and learning about all our new appliances. Putting everything back was a challenge since we reconfigured going from lower cabinets to drawers but it’s working great. We put drawers in our former kitchen instead of lower cabinets and it is much easier to access things with the drawers.”
