It’s amazing how a few details can really change the feel of your home. When remodeling an old house, a local customer wanted to keep the older feel while having all the modern amenities of an updated kitchen. The finished product did exactly that!
Having worked on many projects with Cabinet Discounters in the past, the customer returned to our Columbia showroom. Once again, he worked along with designer Jim Polzin in order to get the exact look for which he had hoped.
Working along with Jim, the customer selected Brighton Cabinetry with Meadowview door style. The perimeter cabinetry, including the bar area, is Maple Sandalwood, while the island is a Natural Walnut color. The walnut cabinets really bring out the color of the floor tile as well as the exposed wooden beams on the ceiling.
Everything in this kitchen ties together to create a rustic feel and preserve the image of this older home. The ends of the island provide expanded storage space for cookbooks and other miscellaneous kitchen items. The panels on the front of the refrigerator allow the rustic look to completely encompass the entire kitchen. The bar area creates an attractive location in the kitchen for not only a mini fridge but also for preparing, enjoying, and storing coffee in the morning.
