Do you walk into your kitchen and feel like you’re in a time warp? Simply due to the state of your kitchen, you may feel like you’ve entered a time machine to a previous decade, or even a previous century. If your kitchen has you feeling this way, then it may be time to consider making a change. A local family found themselves in a similar situation, and they were ready to bring their kitchen into the 21st Century.
“The kitchen was a 1974 original in black, white, and red when we bought the house. All of it had to go (except the lighting, which is all original).”
Looking for a company with which to work on their project, the family visited the Cabinet Discounters showroom in Columbia. After seeing the products that we had to offer and meeting with designer Rebecca Litton, the family knew they had found the right place. They were particularly impressed by one specific style of cabinets that we offer.
“After shopping around, we loved the beveled cabinet doors – no one else had anything like them. Also, our design consultant Rebecca Litton suggested several layout changes that really improved the kitchen’s appearance and workability.”
Throughout the whole process, the family’s experience with Rebecca was great. She was able to offer ideas and suggestions to truly maximize the potential of the kitchen. Additionally, the family also had a positive view of the work done by everyone else involved with their remodel.
“Rebecca was our main point of contact and was a pleasure to work with. Her ability to see where the design could be improved was a big help. All of the carpenters and installers were quick, professional, pleasant, and tidy. They also did excellent work.”
With Rebecca’s assistance, the family selected Brighton Cabinetry with Sardinia door style and Cherry Natural finish. The countertops are Steel Gray leathered granite.
“This is the sixth house we’ve owned and the first kitchen we’ve loved. It came out better than expected, and our standards are very high.”
Now that their new kitchen is completed, the family is finding that it is much more enjoyable to spend time in their space. Whether it’s for cooking, hosting guests, or simply just relaxing on their own, the customers are enjoying every moment they can with their freshly improved kitchen.
“[We are] Cooking and eating, of course, but the space is big and comfortable enough that my wife spends much of her laptop time in there as well. The flow is better, allowing my wife to cook more efficiently and giving me easy access without getting in her way. The entire experience took a bit longer than expected but was well worth the wait. We will enjoy our lovely new kitchen for years to come.”
