Have you run out of space in your kitchen? Are you finding that hosting gatherings and even just everyday cooking has become a hassle? Are you struggling to find room on your countertops for food preparation? Many people face these issues, and the local family highlighted in this case study was no different. They knew that something had to be done to remedy the situation, and they embarked on an entire home remodel following the purchase of their new home.
“We remodeled the entire house after we bought it in April 2023.”
Using the recommendation of their general contractor, the family was advised to work with the Cabinet Discounters showroom in Annapolis, and specifically with designer Meg O’Neill.
“Our general contractor recommended Cabinet Discounters and Meg in particular.”
The family had a great experience working with Meg. She was able to offer suggestions and advice, and come up with a plan that worked for the space.
“Working with Meg was great. I knew what I wanted and she gave me a few options and I just made decisions very quickly with her guidance.”
With Meg’s guidance, the family selected Brighton Cabinetry with Amesbury door style. The perimeter cabinets are Maple Serene, and the island cabinetry features Maple Maritime. The countertops are Alleanza Michelangelo quartz.
“We are very happy with everything that Meg and Cabinet discounters did for our kitchen (and bathrooms). We cook everyday and have entertained a little since moving in. We love the island. I love all the drawers (my choice) and having two pullout trash cans.”
With their new kitchen, the family has found that having more space has made things much easier. Their new kitchen is now much larger, allows for a much freer flow of traffic, and is functional to meet their needs.
“Having more space in a kitchen is wonderful. Again, the two trash cans makes it easy for two people to work in the kitchen. Also, having two entrances from the dining room makes entering and exiting easier. Our kitchen in our old house had one very narrow entrance from the hallway and a pantry and fridge immediately on the left- getting in and out was a pain. All the drawers are a much better option than cabinet doors with rollout shelves.”
