When Bridget and Steve of Mount Airy, MD came in to the Cabinet Discounters Columbia showroom, they had something other than a kitchen remodel in mind!
They wanted to reinvent their large, empty and unused “living room” into an office and study space. Having worked with Cabinet Discounters for a previous kitchen remodel, they came back because of the great experience they had:
“A friend had recommended Cabinet Discounters to us, approximately 2 years ago when we were remodeling our kitchen. We were so pleased with the service and the Brighton product that it was a no-brainer when we decided to do a study.” Bridget and Steve
Working with experienced designer Jim Polzin, they were able to create the warm, functional and useful space they had dreamed of! Jim helped them to choose the Brighton cabinetry with many customized features to address concerns and desires:
“Jim was amazing to work with. We would describe a function that we would want from the cabinets and he made it happen. For example, we wanted the printer to be hidden but accessible. He met our needs by creating a roll out platform hidden within a base cabinet.” Bridget and Steve
Jim enjoyed the unique project as much as Bridget and Steve did:
“I was extremely satisfied with the turnout of the job. When you make all prefinished materials it’s much more difficult to get things to fit perfectly. No caulk and repaint when everything is premade. I could not have asked for a better outcome. The folks at the factory did a great job in building my vision and interpreting what I wanted.
These are the projects that make my job extra fun. When you can get creative and build something from scratch.” Jim Polzin
